I bought a mini cooper from this place, and when I did the inspection, I asked him why there is a ticking sound in the engine, He told me that’s normal in a Mini Cooper and that it’s not a problem. He said he had just replaced a lot of parts and basically did a kind of overhaul on the engine, changed gaskets, changed oil seals, and he assured me not to worry. He said he knew the previous owner and guaranteed it, saying he had done all the work in his own garage. He also said the car wouldn’t consume oil or fuel abnormally. The car had 104,000 kilometers on it at that time. I want to tell you that my usage was very light, and during the warranty period he gave me, I only drove it about 2000 to 3000 kilometers, and it was fine. But after that, at around just 7,000 kilometers of use after buying it from him, I ran into a lot of problems and oil leaks. I called him, and he told me that I was out of the warranty period. If I wanted a repair, he welcomed me to do it at his garage, but at my own expense. And if I wanted to sell the car, he could buy it back, which was quite outrageous. Eventually, I had the engine checked at another garage and found out the engine was actually ruined. I had to replace the entire engine for 4,000 euros after just 7,000 kilometers of driving and right after the warranty ended. Now, after the car reached about 118,000 kilometers (from 104,000 to 118,000 in just a bit over 2 years), I’m facing a lot of gearbox issues. It looks like I might have to replace the gearbox, though I’m not entirely sure yet. In short, it’s been a really bad and frustrating experience it’s just a completely disappointing situation. I want to tell you that since I bought the car up until now about two years have passed I’ve always been in a spiral of problems. One issue would end and another would begin. Before I replaced the engine with the new one I bought, I was constantly adding water and oil to the engine. The engine would overheat, the car would stall and jerk, and I faced a lot of issues. It even broke down on me once on a highway. Now the gearbox is cutting out and delaying shifts, and it’s just torture—constant fear of not trusting the car you’re driving and frustration whenever I remember what he did to me. Honestly, I can’t forgive him for what he did, and I wouldn’t advise anyone to deal with this person because he’s not honest in his sales and not transparent about the problems he should have told you about. I can’t forgive him or get over it.
