In December, we bought a Nissan Juke from this garage for €4,950. The advertisement clearly stated that the car had been well-maintained but that there was a rattling noise in the automatic transmission. During the test drive, we specifically inquired about this rattle. The salesperson stated that he only knew about a rattle and that the rest of the information was in the advertisement. There was no mention of the car being defective. Several friends and family members also read the advertisement and confirmed this. After a few trips, the car developed serious shifting problems and stalled when driving away. On the advice of several mechanics, the automatic transmission was flushed, but this brought no improvement. The flushing revealed that the transmission oil contained water and rust, indicating that the car had not been properly maintained and had been sitting for a long time. The lack of improvement and the condition of the oil confirmed that the transmission was defective and that it had not been serviced regularly. We notified the seller of this by email and invoked Article 7:17 of the Dutch Civil Code (principle of conformity), which states that a product must have the properties a buyer can expect based on the agreement. After contact by email, it was agreed that we could return the car for a refund of €4,500. During this appointment at the garage, the seller had to express his emotions, which unfortunately made the conversation less than calm and professional. When we called later because the refund hadn't yet been received, the seller refused to refund the full amount, because he found the car "more broken" than he had anticipated. (We were honest about the car's condition in the emails sent to this company.) He contradicted himself several times: on the one hand, he stated that he hadn't sold a broken car, while on the other, he continued to insist that this was stated in the advertisement. He also indicated that he would have been honest if we had inquired about the rattle, even though we had. Ultimately, the money was received, because the agreement was in writing. It's striking that the car, which the seller even labeled as "wrecked" and claimed to be worth only €2,000, is now back on the market for €4,250. We look back on this purchase and the handling of the transaction with a sense of disappointment.

Last summer I bought a fantastic Mazda 2 here. A lovely color, lots of options, and really sporty! Unfortunately, something wasn't quite right after I bought it because the engine management light kept coming on. You took the car to the garage more often than I intended, but you didn't give up, and it worked! All the lights stay off, and it drives like new! Thank you for your hard work and great service! The Mazda and I are looking forward to many happy miles!

Two weeks ago, I viewed a neat 2008 Volvo V50 at Mr. Gerritsen's car dealership. I received a clear explanation about the "Swede" and access to all maintenance history. It had been maintained by this garage for the past 8 years and kept well documented. With a fresh service included, I was able to make a good deal and left satisfied. On the way, I had some problems with the air conditioning and an appointment was made immediately and resolved. I received great help from the knowledgeable and service-oriented owner. Excellent! Definitely recommended for car purchases.

We bought a Mazda 3 a few months ago. We received excellent service at the time, and the process was smooth. The brake discs recently turned out to be in poor condition. We made an appointment, and it was repaired free of charge, under warranty. A friendly and reliable garage!
