You confidently offer your precious possession for repair. Then a discussion arises about an inferior repair, proven by other mechanics. Then you're saddled with the expedient argument mentioned below. In my experience, "the customer is king," and it suits you as a "business owner" to work it out together... In short: future (and current) customers: be warned, this one-man shop cannot be trusted and won't give a damn when it comes down to it...
