I was torn between 2 and 3 stars, but I chose two. I had a malfunction in my DACIA's LPG system. The car's computer needed to be scanned. I made an appointment for that. Upon arrival, I was asked if I'd been told the scan would cost €150. I didn't know that; it hadn't been mentioned when I made the appointment. But I still wanted the problem to be found and repaired. Later that morning, one of the employees called me. He told me the LPG software needed to be updated. The malfunction had been found. The pressure sensor and two gas filters needed to be replaced. The total cost would be €1200. I was quite shocked. Because I don't have that kind of money lying around, I didn't have the repair done. I was able to pick up the car. The bill: €248 (including a loaner car for €30). That's €218 for a computer scan (€150) and a software update (€68). Quite a lot of money. I had also had a bad experience in the past (July 2023) with the garage, which charged me over €800 for work not carried out (replacing brake discs and brake pads and installing a new battery). I was told that my brake discs and pads were completely worn and needed to be replaced, and that the battery was also dead. My car was 3 years old at the time. Even though I explicitly stated that I didn't want this repaired, they charged me as if it had been carried out. It was eventually corrected, but my confidence had been significantly damaged. Because I no longer felt completely safe in my car after the diagnosis that my brakes and brake discs were worn, I took them to a local garage for inspection. They determined that both the brake pads and brake discs were in excellent condition and certainly didn't need replacing. There was hardly any wear. Furthermore, the battery was still in excellent condition and didn't need replacing. Completely unprofessional of the workshop. Partly because of this, I wanted a second opinion and contacted an LPG specialist. They re-read the fault and replaced the pressure sensor. According to him, the filters could wait until the regular maintenance. Reading the fault, replacing the pressure sensor, and resetting the software cost me exactly €115. You understand that I can't give a glowing review. I feel quite ripped off. Replacing the pressure sensor took exactly 5 minutes. Loosen the bolt, disconnect the connector, reconnect the connector, and retighten the bolt. Reading the fault and resetting it took longer than replacing it. But within 15 minutes, my car was fully functional again. I'm sure it wouldn't have taken much longer for you either.
