Two years ago, I brought my campervan in for its MOT. During the phone call about the additional work, I indicated that I would like to be called if the costs exceeded €600. A week later, however, I received a message that the bill would be €1,800, without any prior notice. We were able to adjust the amount to a reasonable level afterward, but there was no acknowledgement of the poor communication or the lack of a cost estimate during the work. It would have been helpful if we had coordinated earlier, especially for a job that ultimately took ten hours. Why am I posting this now? I recently received a reminder that it was time for the MOT. Apparently, the previous conflict wasn't a reason to remove me from the system, which I find remarkable.
