Last week, I bought a Beetle from Jan. I have a long history in this industry and know exactly what's available. Jan is a courteous, service-oriented guy who tells you how things are and offers advice. He honors all agreements and goes above and beyond. Here you can buy a great car for a good price. Bought a nice car from him through Marktplaats. When I asked a question, I got an immediate response by mentioning my first name (which immediately gives you a good feeling). I didn't understand his reaction, so I called. Based on the photos of my old car, he was able to give me an estimated price. I made an appointment right away, and when I got all the way from Hellevoetsluis to Tilburg, the car with the HA registration was already there. I immediately inspected the car (without him knowing, as it was unlocked), then enjoyed a cup of coffee and took it for a test drive. The advantage was that the tank was half full and there was a highway nearby, so I could drive around on the highway. Afterward, they inspected the old car, and I paid less than initially stated. So I immediately said yes. The vehicle had a new MOT (periodic vehicle safety inspection) in January and a minor service had already been performed. I don't know if he'd ordered one, so I don't know if that's normal. I didn't really get the feeling he was a car dealer; I mean, he gives you a good feeling. Thanks Jan, I'm happy with it
