In January 2025, I bought a car here. At the sales counter, they explained in detail: "If anything happens, you can always come back," "I'll pick you up if you break down," and so on. It sounded very service-oriented and reliable. Two months later, the problems started. The brake discs needed replacing. He refused to cover the brake pads under warranty; I had to pay for them myself, even though they were within the warranty period. Then there was a knock in the steering wheel. He initially refused to fix that either. Only after I took legal action and pointed out the statutory one-year warranty was it finally repaired. But everything went reluctantly and with some discussion. I constantly felt like I had to fight for something I was entitled to. Now, 14 months later, the car is technically a total loss due to serious engine problems. The repair costs are so high that it's no longer cost-effective. A car shouldn't be completely unusable after such a short time. What disappoints me most is the difference between the sales pitch and the reality. Service stops here once the signature is on the contract. I would advise future buyers to think carefully and get everything in writing.

I looked at a nice Ford this week and bought it the same day at Auto Hofstra. Mr. Hofstra is very friendly, tells it like it is, and doesn't sell nonsense. He does sell decent used cars at very competitive prices.

A very reliable, professional garage! From the very first moment, there was a relaxed atmosphere, and the car purchase went quickly and smoothly. Unfortunately, I wasn't unlucky with the car itself; it had some unforeseen problems. Douwe helped me immediately. He was proactive and came up with excellent solutions. The car itself, however, wouldn't have been able to get me from A to B without any further hassle. After this excellent service, I traded in the car with him for another, and that resolved everything. Douwe, thank you so much, I recommend you to everyone!

Fantastic service, bought my car here just under a year ago. Have had some maintenance and service done - all well communicated and of a high standard. A headlight popped just as I pulled out recently, after having my breaks replaced. It was past office hours but Douwe insisted in replacing the bulb before allowing me to drive off. Quick fix and he didn't even charge me for it! Would most definitely recommend, whether you need a new car, want to trade in your current vehicle or need service/maintenance.
